"It is great to see them getting recognition for their gravitas in this story line. HOWEVER, I am ready to see these 2 ladies be defined a little more by their abilities rather than their sexual orientation" I agree! I want to see Maggie doing police work, and getting Kara involved in it, too. Maggie gives Kara a direct line into the NCPD, by someone who knows her secret identity, also. (It's like what Batman has with Commissioner Gordon.) I would think that the "Maggie/Kara connection" could lead to many intriguing story lines. It doesn't always have to involve evil aliens!

Nice, short interview. I'm very happy that Chyler and Floriana are / were in the award running / nomination and that their characters and their portrayals mean so much to an underserved and often marginalised segment of society. Kudos to them both!

It is great to see them getting recognition for their gravitas in this story line. HOWEVER, I am ready to see these 2 ladies be defined a little more by their abilities rather than their sexual orientation. All I read on Twitter is how the Mon-El relationship is taking over Kara's life and defining her instead of her abilities, her career, other things in her life. BUT HONESTLY, I think that has happened far more to Alex and Maggie than to Kara. This last episode is a perfect example. We have seen their struggles, again and again and again. We get it, these two actors have done an impeccable job of bringing us into that struggle...but its time to move on to kicking some arse. This last episode would have been a perfect time for that, and instead we get... "more struggles". These ladies are far too good at what they do than to be minimized to a token couple, and filler...last weeks episode was exactly that for them. I'm hoping for much more ACTION from these two against villains, helping Supergirl, and being the kick arse women that they are. Just my 2 cents.
