I think most can agree now the character of James/Guardian is in a very off direction. He provides very little entertainment and his arc distracts from the main and other storylines. He does what people feared Superman would do, albeit if Superman would ever be a distraction he would have been an entertaining one. Won't talk further about how Guardian is unsatisfactory because I think we all know.
At this point James is in a narrative stalemate. If his current state continues it'll be no fun to watch. If they cancel his Guardian journey now it's even weirder. Can the situation be salvaged? Is there a sensible direction to write James so that he becomes a naturally fitting, synergistic and entertaining part of the show?
