Just saw on Spoiler.tv that SG got a 0.5 rating number which is the lowest it has ever had. Can't ignore that this has really annoyed me and wish it was so much higher. Was it because of Day Light Savings or something? Now all the hateful trolls will come out about it.

Enough of the negative nelly spiel about ratings please. If the show was in trouble, we'd all know about it. The show was renewed early for S3 and the PTB are satisfied that it is worth investing in, so stop worrying and simply enjoy the show.
We went through this ratings rigmarole last season and it proved to be a pointless exercise. With the CW the ratings don't hold as much sway as they do for the major networks (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX). This is to Supergirl's benefit as the show tends to do well when the L+7 and various media platforms viewership is factored in.
And, the so-called declining ratings numbers are across the board. It's hitting all the major networks. People don't watch TV at the same time, in the same way, or necessarily through cable or OTA (due to digital conversion) anymore. There is on-demand, live streaming, Netflix and time-shifting to consider. There is also traditional DVD sales that tend to boost the bottom line.
So, c'mon and relax. Enjoy the rest of the season and let the media professionals worry about the BTS details.
