As I said in the previously archived thread, if the costume ain't broke, don't fix it. It works exceptionally well as it is.

The costume is perfect just the way it is. Any changes should be for comfort or ease of use. Other than practical issues if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I think the current costume is great! No need to change. However, I do enjoy when they mix things up a bit. The evolution of The Flash and Arrow have been fun to watch. If I were to add anything to Melissa's costume, I would like to see more gold. Gold trim on the cuffs and boots. Perhaps a little bit bigger \S/? Also, it would be kind of interesting to see a two tone version. What I mean by that is keeping the red blue and gold in the same locations but perhaps having sections darker blue and lighter blue. Attached is kind of what I was thinking.

I'd also like to have the "S" shield on the back of the cape again, as in the Silver Age comics.

I actually quite like that gold trim around the cape and boots, Helen's red boots had the yellow trim which looked good.

Here's the gold trim around the cape in live action as worn by the Supergirl @ Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast of Australia where I visited last year. This costume is the New 52 version but with a Red Skirt.
